Benchrest Open Competition Results – June 27th 2026

Camelots Air Rifle Club held its second Benchrest Open Competition on June 27th 2026, and what a day it turned out to be.

The competition was a 25 metre sub-12 ft-lb unlimited air rifle event, bringing together a full house of shooters from far and wide, alongside our own club members. It was our best benchrest competition to date, with a fantastic atmosphere, strong scores across the board and plenty of friendly competition throughout the day.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part and supported the event. Days like this do not happen without a lot of work behind the scenes, so we would like to give a special thank you to Mark Foster for everything he did to help make the competition possible.

Thanks also go to Tony Howcroft, Howard and Richard Moorcroft for handling the scoring in the sweat box, the girls for getting the pop-up marquee sorted, and Lynsey Evans for keeping everyone well fed throughout the day. We would also like to thank Nick at Falcon once again for kindly supporting the raffle prizes.

Most of all, it was great to see so many good people coming together and enjoying the sport we all love. The day was a brilliant example of what Camelots is all about: great shooting, great company and a strong club community. Long may it continue.

Congratulations to Martin On Air, who took 1st place with a fantastic score of 458. Louis Holmes finished 2nd with 449, followed by Howard Cort in 3rd place with 445.
