Built by Shooters, for Shooters.

Camelots Air Rifle Club offers one of the most complete sets of airgun facilities in the North. What started as a bare patch of dirt has grown into a fully developed shooting ground with purpose-built ranges, woodland courses, sheltered areas and dedicated spaces for every shooting discipline. Whether you’re here to practise, compete, or just enjoy a relaxed day on the range, you’ll find everything you need right here.

Below is a full overview of the facilities available to all members.

Shop / Cabin / Seating Area / Toilets / Smoking Area

The Main Hub

As you drive down the lane towards the club, you’ll come to the entrance gate. Members are given a key so they can come and go as they please. Once inside, you’ll be greeted by the car park and the main hub of the club, where you’ll find the toilets, the cabin, and our sign-in area. You’ll usually spot Tony, our club ranger, pottering around keeping everything running smoothly. There’s also a seating area with a smoking section and chimeneas, giving members a comfortable place to relax before or after a shoot.

Dedicated Bench Rest Shed

Built to Benchrest UK Standard

The Benchrest Shed at Camelots Airgun Club has been built to Benchrest UK standards, providing the ideal setup for accurate and consistent shooting. It features solid shooting benches, a sheltered firing line, and a well-maintained range, giving you the best conditions to focus on your shooting. Whether you’re an experienced benchrest shooter or just starting out, this facility is designed to help you improve and enjoy the sport in a dedicated, no-pressure environment.

Dedicated Plinking Range

All Weather Shooting

Our sheltered, dedicated plinking range is the perfect place for relaxed shooting, trying new setups or warming up before heading onto the courses. Fully covered and protected from the weather, it lets you shoot in comfort all year round. Targets are set out to 60 yards, giving you loads of variety whether you’re checking zero, practising holdover or just enjoying a bit of fun shooting. It’s a simple, no-pressure area that every shooter — beginner or experienced — makes good use of.

Pistol Shed / Zeroing Range

Dedicated Pistol & Zeroing Shed

Our pistol and zeroing shed is a versatile space designed for both accurate scope setup and relaxed pistol shooting. It gives shooters a calm, focused environment to fine-tune rifles, check zero, or practise with pistols without the distractions of the main range. Whether you’re bedding in a new scope, testing pellets, working on pistol technique, or just warming up before heading onto the courses, this shed provides a practical and reliable area to get everything dialled in.

Silhouette Range

Purpose-Built Silhouette Area

Our silhouette range is a fun, fast-paced area designed to test both accuracy and reaction time. With a variety of metal animal silhouettes set out at different distances, it gives shooters a great mix of challenge and enjoyment. Whether you’re practising for competitions or just want something a bit different from paper targets, the silhouette range is a brilliant way to sharpen your skills and add some excitement to your session.

Field UKAHFT Course

Challenging Layouts Across Open Ground and Natural Terrain

Our field FT and HFT course offers a brilliant mix of long shots, varied target positions and natural features that keep every round interesting. Set across open ground with changing angles and distances, it gives shooters the chance to test their skills in a realistic outdoor environment. Whether you’re practising for competition or just enjoying the challenge, the course provides plenty of opportunities to improve your accuracy, learn wind reading and push yourself a little further each session.

Woodland UKAHFT Course

Immersive Woodland Shooting Experience

Our Woodland UKAHFT course takes full advantage of the natural terrain, offering a proper challenge for shooters who enjoy realistic outdoor layouts. Targets are positioned through trees, over dips, across uneven ground and along natural shooting lanes, giving you constantly changing angles, elevations and wind conditions. It’s a course that keeps you thinking, rewards good technique and offers a really satisfying mix of difficulty and enjoyment. Whether you’re practising for competition or just want something more immersive than open-field shooting, the woodland UKAHFT course delivers every time.

SWEFTA Woodland Course

Authentic SWEFTA-Style Layout in a Woodland Setting

Our SWEFTA woodland course follows the familiar SWEFTA format, offering a true woodland experience with natural shooting lanes, varied target placements and the rule set shooters expect. It’s not designed to be tougher than our other courses — just different. If you enjoy shooting SWEFTA-style layouts or want to keep your practice consistent with that format, this course gives you the perfect place to do it.
