About Camelots Air Rifle Club
A Friendly, Down-to-Earth Club Built by Shooters, for Shooters.
Our Story
Camelots Air Rifle Club sits on the outskirts of Blyth between Doncaster and Nottingham. It all began as a simple idea while Danny, the club’s founder, was on holiday. What he thought would be a small personal project has grown into one of the North’s most respected and well-used airgun clubs. Danny is a lifelong airgunner, a YouTuber, and now a regular writer for Airgun World Magazine and Shooting Times. The club was built from pure passion for the sport. When he first leased the land it was literally a patch of dirt — not even a blade of grass. Discovering that it had once been a mediaeval tournament ground inspired the Camelots theme and the well-known knight logo. From day one, the idea was simple: build a proper place to shoot, make it friendly, and make it welcoming for everyone, whether you’re brand new to airguns or have been shooting for decades.
Members Can Come & Go As They Please
What Camelots has become is far beyond that original patch of dirt. Today the club offers a huge range of facilities.
Members also have access to an onsite shop for pellets, targets and essentials, an onsite toilet, and we’re currently developing our new onsite food cabin which will serve hot food and drinks at certain times of the day and weekends. Once you become a member, you can come and go as you please, seven days a week, giving you the freedom to shoot whenever it suits you.

A Gun Club That Feels Like Home
But even with all the facilities, it’s the people who make Camelots what it is. New shooters are supported from the moment they arrive. Experienced shooters share their knowledge without ego. Everyone looks out for each other and the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and genuinely down-to-earth. Camelots has grown far faster than any of us expected and that’s down to the members as much as anything else. Their support, enthusiasm and pride in the club have shaped it into what it is today — a welcoming, well-run and well-maintained place to shoot that continues to develop year after year. If you’re looking for a club with great facilities, great people and a proper community feel, you’ll feel at home here. We’ll make sure of it.
